Why do doctors refuse HRT to menopausal women but hand them out to trans people?

This may be a US issue.

As for real women, we lose cognitive points, drop bone density, tank our metabolism, develop arthritis and crashing fatigue, lose collagen in our skin and get zero treatment.

After the Nurse’s health study, everyone stopped prescribing HRT to women due to fears of breast cancers and blood clots.

Oh well. We are the ones who start looking like old men while old men are preening like nubile maidens in “girlhood.” They are brave and we are TERFs for saying they are not us. Irony at its finest.

If a woman has had a hysterectomy, she can get the progesterone-free HRT—just estrogen. That is pretty safe.

Old men do not have boobs or uterus. It is safer to give them our hormones without fear of side effects.

I’m wondering about attachment and transference with the therapist and the idea of escape and fantasy? How much do you think your strong feelings, constant thoughts, desires to be with your therapist are a way to escape from your present life? I wonder if the transference serves another purpose than to show us our wounds and/or past experiences, but is a present coping strategy for managing what we don’t want to face (even if unconsciously) in the present—-current relationships, life circumstances, etc. Can anyone relate to this concept of escape in relation to their therapy relationship? How does this play out for you?

If a woman still has a uterus, she needs estrogen plus progesterone or she will get endometrial cancer.
